The AIM Occupational Therapy assessment takes 1 to 2 one hour sessions. The assessment can take place at one our centres, your child’s school or your home. Whilst it is not necessary, it is preferred that it takes place at one of our premises with parents/caregivers present.
The child’s parent or caregiver will need to fill in an on-line questionnaire.
Your child’s teacher will also need to fill in an on-line questionnaire
Following the assessment it is highly recommended that your child receives a report that includes a summary of each assessment carried out, analysis of assessments and recommendations to improve the referred areas. If appropriate, occupational therapy sessions focusing on the achievement of specific goals outlined in the report will then commence.
Possible areas of assessment and therapy and more information on each are below.
