Our Story

AIM Therapy was established in 2009 by an Occupational Therapist who recognised a gap in the market for a family-oriented, child-centric business that delivered therapy through play.

First providing Occupational Therapy, the business has expanded to offer Speech Pathology, then Physiotherapy and Psychology, so that families and children can access all they need under one roof.

Whether the referral is via the NDIS or private paying, AIM Therapy’s focus has always been the creation of a fun atmosphere, where children want to come, and where their families are understood, welcomed, supported and feel part of a community.

Many clients are long-term, reflecting AIM Therapy’s belief in helping children to gain foundational skills that last a lifetime.

Team culture

• Family is in everything we do: how we approach our work (‘family-first’), how we work with each other and how we respect our people’s time and help them to maintain a work/life balance (family-first there too). Our amazing admin team is the glue that holds us together.

• We love to be cheerleaders for each other, celebrating both personal and professional achievements and getting together for team lunches and social events.

• We’re supportive, not competitive. We enjoy networking, learning and being together. Leaders work across locations to access each other and provide support.

• We’re joyful, positive and nurturing. We’re flexible, fun and friendly. Want to accessorise for Halloween or Christmas? Go for it!

• Ultimately, we want to be a fun place to work for our people and a fun place to go to for the children we support and their families.

AIM Therapy

Team benefits

• Career development specific to the area of paediatrics that a clinician works within, with a whole day and $500 (pro rata) to use annually (which can rollover to another year if needed, though we encourage all team members to use it). Time is set aside every week for our clinicians to better themselves professionally, and we enjoy monthly discipline specific training presentations and whole team professional development every month.

• Flexible work hours and the option to work part time, if preferred.

• Every fortnight we enjoy a lunch time meeting where we practice gratitude and share acknowledgements, thanks and updates.

• Regular team social events, personal celebrations and acknowledgement of discipline-specific days or weeks.
